Who We Are

WHEELING is a multi-stakeholder, cross-sectoral, hybrid-powered funding initiative that supports locally driven, disability-inclusive, gender-responsive, youth-engaged, climate-conscious, trauma-informed, intersectional, and sustainability-aligned programmes in fragile, developmental, post-developmental, pre-humanitarian, and localisation-transition settings.

How We Work

Applications are assessed through our Adaptive Equity Scoring Portal (AESP), a holistic evaluation tool designed to measure your organisation’s resilience, CRPD literacy, financial wellness, and commitment to inclusive transformation.

We prioritise initiatives led from and grounded in Latin America, Francophone and Lusophone Africa, and the Arab region.

Key requirements:

Applications must be in English.
Accessibility costs must not exceed 2% of the total budget.
Localisation must be proven through a letter from a grassroots partner.
At least 50% co-financing is required.
A communications plan is mandatory.
Selected applicants will attend up to six virtual learning labs.
